So here is the second iteration of Sharon Osbourne. The top layer consisting of two layers, one each of pink and purple.

I do like the tiny leaves floating about Sharon’s face. The visible hand in the neck of the left head. The more visible Proctor & Gamble moon.

I find it difficult to speak kindly of this set of Sharon. The only thing it is missing is a confetti explosion, some glitter and some gratuitous lens flare.

Revisiting them is causing me to question the current pieces I am working on. I have one set ready to begin later this week. And two more sets floating about my head for the fall. So looking at these older pieces, success or failures, is invaluable.

I think what happened here is inability to edit. I remember at this time in the series I was pushing. Just attempting to work hard and work through the idea without over thinking the process. And there is so much to be said for that. But what I need to do this time is edit carefully at every step.

When I think of how many hours these took and how painstaking that work was, I can’t believe I didn’t question the composition itself.
