2012 Street Paper

The 2012 Street Paper set sees a total of ten images. A testament to the beauty of decay. I guess they are all in some way about decay.

Some are just scrawls across advertisements. Andy Cohen and Kristin Chenoweth take a witch house beating. Ready to summon evil with blacked out eyes.

But none take the beating that Kate Moss gets. Two separate images savaged. “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.” Thanks Kate. It’s still one of the most memorable lines your ilk have ever uttered.

Let’s remember I shredded her first way back in the Supermodels set of 1991. Note how similar those images are to the decay in these images. Except for then, I was completely unaware of the New York Street Paper scene.

Another example of how I predict events or ideas that occur in my life long before they happen. I have noted numerous examples of this kind of synchronicity throughout this blog. I should do a better job of documenting them. Maybe now that we are writing music we can incorporate this phenomenon.

The rest of the set sees two beautiful close up beauty shots. Savaged again. The fifth picture has been my phone desktop for a year or so now. I really need to change that.

The layers on the Cheers to the Rich is extraordinary. Tags on plexiglass. Layer upon layer again. It’s a beautiful sentiment and wonderfully realized.

And this ends the Street Paper series until 2013 is in the can. Then you can get this year’s picks. I hope I get out there and get more shots. Maybe tonight?
