So here I am, at the beginning of the final five with Jennifer Lopez. Amazingly, Jenny from the block brings it home with two of my favorite pieces in the entire series.

This is a black top layer piece. I remember that black layer being so overbearing. So a lot of sanding went into this piece to reveal those bottom layers. And oh what gorgeous layers they are.

The white brick is gorgeous against the light yellow-green and rich red-brown. But the deep navy knocks it out of the park. And I think the sanding overall works in conjunction with the layers.

One more time, this is exactly if not better than what I saw in my head initially. And it’s mostly that magic I spoke of in the previous post. I choose the layers and group them, but the cutting and lining up is mostly blind. So it’s pure coincidence if it creates something amazing.

I also love the imagery. The tiny Louis Vuitton pentagram. Those reptile scales I hand drew on Jennifer. It all works so well. And similarly its vague in the approach, instead of the sledgehammer I used on the Angelina pieces previous.

Equally, it is far more painterly than the graphic look of the Ivana Trump images. It’s more like the third Nadja. I absolutely love this one!
