FFXIV Nico 20 is a great shot of a Roegadyn. The hot muscle hulk race of FFXIV. I almost chose this as my race but cat boy won.

Last night I just finished the first season of Log Horizon. Cat boys aplenty. One of the better anime series I have watched recently.

I found a better connection with the cast than say Chaika Coffin Princess. Not that I didn’t like Chaika. I just didn’t identify with the cast as much.

This is key to good anime or television in general. I have to find that moment of investment that makes me feel. And I need that character I love.

In Buffy it was Anya. In Log Horizon it’s Minori. In Attack on Titan it was Mikasa. In SAO it was Kirito. Odd because I rarely identify with the main.

Probably because I am never alpha or beta. Always gamma. Gamma gamma gamma.

I am finding myself moving more and more into anime and further away from regular television. I think it is an attempt to find myself again. To extract myself from the currents of oppressive pop culture. It’s like digging myself out of rubble, but I hope it will help me find the magic again.
