Eighth in the Itek series and the negative of yesterday’s self-portrait of none other than me, Craig Ashby. With this post, the halfway point in this series has been reached. Only eight extant pieces remain after this one.

Once again, this negative has great textures and lovely diagonal drips. Fingerprints that sign the pieces like unforgeable signatures. The chemicals that developed these images creating their own rainbow.

One of the true miracles of this series is that it still exists at all. When I think of all the things I have given away or had stolen or just lost I am saddened. That I  have held on to these pieces for over twenty years is unbelievable.

That is because above all things I am a collector. With over forty boxes of comic books, 500 DVDs, hundreds of CDs and vinyl I would say it is the one constant that has been with me as long as being an artist. I love collecting and curating.

I am trying to fuse both of those loves here on this site. I love being able to collect and curate my pieces and have a place I can share all that.
