DJ Mix

I go back to being solo for this DJ Mix. That first track by Wisp is reminiscent of his label mate Aphex Twin. Lots of IDM goodness in this DJ Mix.

You will frequently notice that these mixes will feature several songs by the same artist. It is a repeating motif throughout all the mixes. Here Lusine makes three back to back appearances. This is still a reaction to Joey Friedman telling me that I can’t mix two songs from the same label. Rules! Rules for people who play other people’s records?!? Hogwash!

Although that may have something to do with the inclusion of the same artist or label, what I am trying to do is organize the music I have been listening to into cohesive sets. Imposing a subjective order to create a narrative of my current interests.

So back to three Lusine tracks back to back. Why do that? It’s simply trying to provide a marker for you. I am saying, if you haven’t been listening to Lusine you should be. And you really should be.

Overall this DJ Mix is frequently overlooked. Not nearly as popular as yesterday’s post. Ah well, to hell with popularity. This mix is a pretty good understanding of what I love in dance music.

Download the 320 kbps here. Always use the monolithic soundcloud player if it’s still up there.
