Krakk is more important than you might initially think. A stolen Joe Madureia drawing of Storm from the pages of X-Men fronting a band I used to live with. A simple demo for posters at the legendary Cat’s Cradle.

There were four in the set. You will see the three demos and then the final production piece of Blink. All a little too Lichtenstein for my taste. Right down to the onomatopoeia.

But the whole set harkens back to a lost time when I lived with a Chapel Hill band. I am only friends with one of those people to this day. Sad but true. Love you, Matthew.

This particular piece of Storm is important because it is the basis for a new series of layered paper cuts. I just need to work out the color layers and finalize the process. Then it will be good to go.

This should all be going down by fall. If I can just find the time and energy. Or better yet if I can pull my head out of my ass and remove the mental obstacles. This will be the real test. Well that and getting all these posts up.

  1. I still have an original blink that was screen printed. Love you Craig! Thanks for the blast from the past!

    1. I still have it too. It will be posted here on the site as soon as I am at the point of scanning the flat files (things that are too big for the filing cabinets). I love you too Matthew! Hope all is well in your world.
