So number 14 in the MPRSS_HRNT series contains Rihanna. And apparently I still haven’t learned my lesson. No white hairnets and no Rihanna.

Okay, it’s not a total failure, but it is in the bottom three least favorites for me. The jewelry bothers me most. I never could get it situated properly and then adhering it was a pain.

On to the good bits about this piece. I love how the Caress ad interacts with the foreground elements. See those hairs that come out of the background Caress ad? Those are the missing model’s hair and the just seamlessly blend with RiRi’s. Nice trick. And the strange silhouette showering is classically bad. Perfect!

I also love the super digital aspect of the hairnet. Both the color and texture of the magazine image and the shape. Sure the shape gets a bit wonky at the distorted edges, but I still like the look of it.

The face is passable. It was a man’s jacket for some alcohol advertisement like Beefeater’s or Captain Morgan. It’s okay. Don’t hate it. Don’t love it.

But it’s just the overbearing jewelry that buries this piece. I just have to stop settling and remain more calm and allow some  things to be unfinished for a bit. Breathe.
