Second OpArt piece sees a little pull back from the pattern. The distance allows a different perspective.

Perhaps this is an idea I should explore again. Print some PDF patterns and try to create some moiré patterns at the FedEx/Kinko’s.

It’s sad they phased out the Kinko’s name part of that business. Even in North Carolina I thrived using Kinko’s for experiments after leaving the sad and conservative Gannett newspaper.

But now the name is not even used except in my mind. Another important loss that should be noted here. Kinko’s I love you and will never forget!

So maybe a tiny series of experiments doing this exact same process with new patterns might create something fun. Set a time limit. Say maybe ten patterns and one afternoon in FedEx Home Office. I mean Kinko’s.

Now if only I could afford to spend the afternoon in Kinko’s. At least this caused me to look up the history and dissolution of Kinko’s. Of course it is a California idea. Maybe I should consider moving to California.

Except for the fact that the rent is higher there than here in NYC. That is just what I need. More rent to pay.

Talk about struggling to get an afternoon in the photocopy center. Plus it would involve driving to there.
